One for all and all for One! No more holding back…

It has been a while since my last blog post, I know. All I can say is that God has been BUSY with me, to say the least! :)
If I have to describe in one word whats been on my heart for a long time now, is WHOLEHEARTEDNESS! I feel He wants me to share this with you….
One morning, as I was praying about a specific issue, I saw Jesus lovingly throw His arm around my shoulder. It was as if, in that moment, He said: I came to earth, I gave My EVERYTHING, I gave My life, I have risen and still give my EVERYTHING for mankind. I have but one request in return: that you give your EVERYTHING TO ME. I have given you free will. You have the choice, but do not make it halfheartedly. It should not be a “good idea” to you or a “safe idea” or an “insurance for me and my family” idea. When you choose Me, it should be with EVERYTHING you have! Everything you are. I give you ALL of Me, I want all of you in return.
Jesus desires a relationship with us. I realized afterward that nobody wants to be in a relationship with someone who is only half way in? Where do you think your desire to be loved wholeheartedly comes from? From your Daddy of course! If you were created in His image (Gen.1:26), then you will have His character traits too, and you do! We were made for fullness, wholeheartedly committed, abundantly loving, fellowship with God and with each other.
The beginning of 2015 God gave me this clear word: “EXPECT EVERYTHING from ME!!!”
Why? Because He has already given His everything, He is still giving His everything and will always give His everything. Why, then, do we not expect just that from Him and from our daily walk with Him??
Heb.11:6 says “We cannot please God without faith, believing He exists and He will reward those who earnestly seek Him.” Once again it does not say just “seek Him”. It says EARNESTLY! Why? Because He earnestly loves us, He earnestly wants all of us!!
Still, we find ourselves loving Him conditionally, half heartedly. Could it be that we do not yet have the revelation of God’s love for us which involves His everything?
I’m reminded of a song by Bethel called “Pieces”. I love the way it describes Jesus wholehearted love for us. This is the Jesus I fell in love with…
Unreserved, unrestrained, Your love is wild for me, It isn’t shy, it’s unashamed. Your love is proud to be seen with me. You don’t give Your heart in pieces, You don’t hide Yourself to tease us.
Uncontrolled, uncontained, Your love is a fire burning bright for me. It’s not just a spark, it’s not just a flame. Your love is a light that all the world will see. Your love’s not fractured, It’s not a troubled mind, It isn’t anxious. It’s not the restless kind. Your love’s not passive. It’s never disengaged, It’s always present. It hangs on every word we say. Love keeps its promises. It keeps its word, it honors what’s sacred ‘Cause its vows are good. Your love’s not broken, It’s not insecure. Your love’s not selfish. Your love is pure.
As mentioned in a previous post, Covenant with God and the New Covenant which was established through Jesus involves all of Him in return for all of us! His Name, His authority, His weaponry, His blood, etc for all of us.
Matt.22:37-40
“Jesus said to him, “’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ‘On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
The first and great commandment is to love God with your everything! Can you honestly say you do? Ask God to reveal His heart to you and this is also my prayer for you. Not only is it the first and great commandment but it will also prove worth it over and over again! Your EVERYTHING to a King Who truly gave His EVERYTHING for you! He did not give any less and He does not expect anything less. A truly intimate relationship with Him.
