The Radar that sees through the fog…

The Radar that sees through the fog…

Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.” – Corrie ten Boom

As children of God we ought to be able to discern between:

reality” what we see of our selves or others, what we see around us or what is currently happening in the world, and

Truth” – what God is saying about us, these things or other people.

Most of the time reality and Truth looks completely different and contradicting. We need to ask God what is the Truth of a specific situation. “Lord, the enemy is telling me I am a failure. What do you say? I am failing, that is reality, but what is the Truth. I choose to believe You.” And this takes FAITH – being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see… (Heb.11)

If we are, as Jesus said (John 17), living in this world but not of this world, then we are in fact living by a different set of rules. We have a different “reality”, we have Kingdom reality. We need to pray and ask Him what that Truth is so we may pray it into being here on earth. As it is in heaven…

This week I felt God speaking in my heart, “Faith is the currency of heaven. Ask Me for more faith so you may buy what I already speak over you. So that My Truth over your life, or whoever/whatever you are praying for, may become the reality.

Lead me in Your Truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day long.” Psalm 25:5

Gideon (Jud.6-8) was threshing wheat in a winepress in order to hide from the Midianites. He was of the weakest clan in Manasseh and he was the least in his father’s house = REALITY! …. but the Angel of the LORD said to him that the LORD is with him, that he is a mighty man of valour, that he will save the Israelites from the Midianites = TRUTH! You can read the rest of this awesome story of faith, how God’s Truth became Gideon’s reality, how God moved miraculously on Israel’s behalf. This is an awesome example of what happens when you are in a battle that God chose you to be in, walking in obedience and even having Him fighting for you.

By the way, God is calling Gideon to war but reveals Himself to Gideon and sais “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.” upon which Gideon builds an altar to the Lord and calls it “The LORD is Peace”. War was the REALITY but Peace was the TRUTH! WOW!!! And as it was said in heaven so it was on earth…

1 Pet. 1:7-9 “…that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, who having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him (REALITY!), yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith-the salvation of your souls (TRUTH!).

Faith is the radar that sees through the fog!” – Corrie ten Boom
